 | As'ad AbuKhalil Professor of Political Science California State University Seminar As'ad AbuKhalil is a Professor of Political Science at California State University, Stanislaus and a visiting Professor at the University of California at Berkeley. Born in Lebanon, AbuKhalil grew up in Beirut and received his B.A. and M.A. in political science at the American University of Beirut. He received a Ph.D. in comparative government from Georgetown University. Called the “Angry Arab,” a nickname bestowed upon him as his Angry Arab News Service rose to prominence over the past several years, AbuKhalil has been an vocal critic of the Iraq War and American foreign policy in general. His books include Bin Laden, Islam & America's New "War on Terrorism" and The Battle For Saudi Arabia: Royalty, Fundamentalism, and Global Power. |
