 | John Brenkman Distinguished Professor of English Baruch College and the Graduate Center, CUNY Seminar John Brenkman, Distinguished Professor at Baruch College and the Graduate Center, CUNY, is a literary critic and political theorist. His most recent book is The Cultural Contradictions of Democracy: Political Thought since September 11. He directs the U.S.-Europe Seminar at Baruch College, an interdisciplinary research seminar whose participants include scholars, journalists, writers, and policy experts from the New York-area. He has written extensively on ancient and modern literature, literary theory, psychoanalysis, social and political thought, and foreign policy. |
